Double the Traffic, Quadruple the Conversions

Toilets Plus are the largest provider of portable toilets in the South East of England.

The Goal

While it may not be the most glamorous industry, they use clever networks and distribution to ensure over 7000 toilets are on site at any one time.

Toilets+ were keen to uphold their market share in the sector, but were aware that some things needed to change in order to do so.

It was important that their online discoverability and presence be just as prominent across their entire coverage area as it was in their headquarters location in Norfolk. However, if we were going to drive more users to the site off the back of this increase in visibility, we also needed to make sure they got to their desired end point as quick as possible.

Lean into the branding

When it came to designing their site, imagery was limited so we put together a website that used bold colour, engaging typography and an offset layout to deliver visual interest, while the framework was set up to be search engine friendly.

In this industry, there’s no beating around the bush. If you’ve landed on the Toilets+ website, it’s very clear what you’re looking for.

Therefore, one of the first things for us to address was why you had to go all around the houses to request a quotation. We worked with the Toilets+ team to figure out what questions they needed answers to in order to deliver an accurate quote, and we set about building a simple quote request form that prompted users to answer these.

Cutting down on admin time on client side, but also helping the user to feel like they’ve carried out a more productive step and taken something off their plate.

What We Did

Increase visibility outside of Norfolk

Whilst based in Norfolk, Toilets+ can cover the whole of the South East of England with six other depots stationed throughout.

It was important that we duplicated the same familiarity, trust and recommendations they have in Norfolk across all of these locations. With a clear direction for our digital strategy, we set about doing just that.

As a result, not only did the Norfolk rankings move from the middle of page 2 on Google to the top three results on page one, but the other locations all caught up to this as well over a 12 month period.

The Results

This meant that the business was in a great position to acquire new clients whilst at the same time appearing in Google for relevant searches which related to their services. It was also designed to make it straightforward for users to submit inquiries and interact with the hire team.
